8 x 10 Tasveer (2009)...The story of the time traveller

Jai Puri (Akshay Kumar) is a forest ranger with a special ability. He can travel through time by looking at a picture through any person in that picture. Generally he lives a happy life with his loving girl friend (his fiancee) until a tragedy hit his life hard and turn his life upside down; his rich father dies suddenly from an tragic accident while he was parting in his cruse ship with his wife (Jai Puri's mother) and hisbusiness associates. Jai Puri's relationship with his father is not a very strong one. So, he does not bother when he learn that his father left nothing for him. But everything changes when a mad detective come to see him and tell him that his father was murdered and his father's death is not just an accident. jai Puri did not believe the detective at first; still he decided to use his special power to investigate the death of his father. Luckily there is a picture taken by his mother just before the tragic event. Obviously, time traveling is a life threatening event for jai Puri and each time he does that he comes closer to his own death. Yet he did not give up till the real truth emerge to the surface. The truth is extremely harsh for Jai Puri. Everything he ever believed become unreal including his love life and family relationships.

Good story huh....!! But it was unable to became a financially successful film. In short, it was a Box office flop. So what went wrong? Obviously it has nothing to do with Akshay's acting. In fact, he is the only one who is doing his job correct. None of the other actors or actresses do their jobs right. The blame also goes to the director and to the screen writer as well. The film starts so well but the progress is not so good. In fact it is boring and unrealistic.
