Her debut role earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the 2017 David di Donatello Awards, as well as the Flaiano Prize and Nastro d'argento for Best Newcomer.


Controversies



De Angelis has faced two major controversies in her career. The first was due to her nude scenes in the HBO drama The Undoing. While some praised her performance and commitment to the role, others criticized the show's use of female nudity for shock value. De Angelis herself defended her performance, stating that she was more focused on the emotional depth of her character than the nudity.


The second controversy surrounds rumors of plastic surgery. Some fans have speculated that De Angelis has undergone procedures like a nose job and lip fillers. In addition to her role in The Undoing, she starred in the Netflix film Rose Island, for which she won the David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actress. She also co-hosted the first evening of the Sanremo Festival 2021 alongside Amadeus and has been cast in the upcoming film The Eyes of Tammy Faye.
